Now I have this blog setup and running based on Drupal. Will have more content type and more fun.
And I will move my old blog site on wordpress into this site too.
Yeah!
The stuff found at http://superjacent.net/cms/?q=node/537 is really great.
I downloaded the windows version and convert my dbs in the linux server just like a charm. Only one glitch is there is one blog has 's and caused the sql syntax error. I found the entry and removed the 's and finished the converting successfully.
One note as Steve mentioned for many times, always backup and do the conversion against your backup db. Once you feel comfortable, do it on the live db.
Thanks very much for Steve's work.
Thanks John, your comments are really appreciated and I'm glad you got up and running, relatively smoothly.
The offending character that you refer to, I'm wondering if that is in fact the apostrophe character (found on right side keyboard, same key as double-quotes) as that should be correctly accounted for when building the SQL commands.
Any chance of on forwarding the offending blog that was causing you trouble, so at least I can figure out precisely what went wrong.
As you've probably gathered I'm also having some problems with Character Encodings, that is one real pain in the a......

Hi Steve:
You are right and it's the apostrophe character. Here is the detail.

Note the difference is "organization\'s" in the old one while the new record has "organization network" and the new record has no problem to convert into drupal with Steve's utility at http://superjacent.net/cms/?q=node/537 as of version 5.05.
I hope this will help. Thanks again for your tool which helps me a lot.
