I created this math practice site called www.morefunmath.com for my daughter initially but then I realized it could benefit to a lot of other kids, parents and schools as well. So here is the public launch at the end of 2007.

I am a fan of nba and check out the score at http://www.nba.com from time to time. I am always amazed by the flashy tech used at the site and impressed with their performance even under the huge load just you can imagine. But today it's different. The home page looks normal but there is connection error when I click the game detail link. Here is the screen shots.

I've been involved into the identity management a while ago and heard OpenID as a "a free and easy way to use a single digital identity across the Internet." 

Basically it's a free, open and distributed framework for user authentication. There is extension to add more value into this framework such as creating user profile automatically by  having additional user information.

I consolidated my trixbox server recently into a vmware server, this time I also upgraded the trixbox to the latest version. To verify my system document, I didn't do backup/restore type of upgrade, instead I recreated the new trixbox configuration plus some modification according to the new requirement.

A lot of times, the auto startup option for vmware virtual machines do not work. (Do NOT know why yet). The init script will help to address that. Just make sure it starts after the vmware service starts up already.

Vmware tips:

1. There are three options for host memory usage under host setting. You can choose to "Fit all virutal machine memory into reserved host RAM" to get the maximum performance and avoid un-predictable slowness sometimes.

day 1: 650miles 9:16 AM, start from 1247 Summerwind way, Milpitas. Short break in Sacramento for refresh, then short stay in Reno, had lunch in costco and bought gas there(50USD). Another short break in Winimuce, then drove all the way to Wendover. Got gas(40USD) and stay in Days-Inn.(77USD)
